Remote Monitoring
 Every Osiris DVR system has powerful built-in remote monitoring and control options. This means that you can connect to, view and control your system from almost any location, using a computer or a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) such as a Palm or Windows CE device. Bandwidth is obviously a constraint on how effective such control is, but each Osiris system provides a range of connection methods, including Local Area Network (LAN), direct dial-up and Internet. So you can choose the best method for the circumstances.

LAN
|
|
Local Area Network connectivity offers maximum bandwidth monitoring, usually in a different part of the same building in which the DVR system is installed. If your premises already has a wireless or regular computer network installed, it is simple to configure your Osiris system for that network. In such a situation, Osiris can take advantage of your existing network resources such as storage, printers and backup. Alternatively, we can install all the necessary networking infrastructure to get you up and running.

Direct dial up

Your Osiris system comes equipped with a standard 56k modem. By connecting this to a regular phone line you can connect directly to it using any modem-equipped computer and phone line anywhere in the world for remote monitoring and recording. Osiris can also use its modem to send email, SMS message and regular telephone alerts in the event of a security incident or system failure.

Internet
|
|
Direct dialling your Osiris system might prove expensive, depending on the relative locations involved. An alternative to this is to use Internet connectivity in order to monitor your systems. You can connect Osiris to the 'Net right out of the box using its built in modem. Alternatively, if you have ISDN, broadband or any other type of Internet connection at your premises, Osiris can take advantage* of the increased bandwidth and more economical connection charges on offer. With your Osiris connected to the Net, you can monitor, record and control it from any Internet connected computer.
